John Visits, North Cascade Highway
While I was in Seattle, my friend John Kareis came out to visit. One day we drove to Mt. Rainier. The following day we toured the North Cascade Highway, stopping at each waterfall we saw. The last stop on our clockwise path around Washington State, we followed the well-maintained footpath to visit the peaceful and tremendously beautiful Rainy Lake. The small lake is nestled in a pocket of snow covered mountains that rise 4,000 ft. above the water.
